Growth vs. Fixed Mindset - Carol Dwek
Carol Dweck, Stanford University psychologist , who spent years researching achievement and success discovered the theory of Mindset . A “fixed mindset” assumes that our character, intelligence, and creative ability are fixed traits, which we can’t change. People with a “growth mindset,” on the other hand, believe basic traits can be developed through effort. This view cultivates perseverance and a love of learning, which in turn leads to success. Teaching children about a growth mindset creates motivation and a students likeliness to succeed.
